Tim McCune is a fully qualified personal trainer, and a BSc Exercise Science graduate. He has joined Riverside Chiropractic Group in Aberdeen to help us to achieve our mission of offering natural, non-surgical healthcare for the north east of Scotland.

We are delighted to offer personal training in small groups or as 1:1 at our Holburn street Aberdeen clinic. Tim is amazing at getting people back to fitness, back to free range of motion and feeling healthier and better than ever before. What is Personal Training?

Personal trainers possess the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to design safe and effective fitness programs. They instruct and assist people in reaching personal health and fitness goals.

Passion, purpose, caring and coaching - these qualities make a far greater impact than the size of a trainer's biceps. Not that there isn't something to be said for outward appearance and taking care of the "cover". Personal trainers dig deep into people's barriers and motivations for being active.

Health & Great Nutrition in Aberdeen

Healthy eating is a way of life for some, but not everyone knows exactly what is best for their bodies. Our scientists can work with you to individualise the perfect plan to help you reduce bloating, gain or lose weight, build muscle mass, prevent injuries and recover from all injuries. They work with people of all ages, including children.

If you are a sports enthusiast and want to gain an advantage then our scientists can also devise a sports based nutritional plan specifically designed for you.

Anatomy in Motion Aberdeen (AIM)

AIM is a technique which retrains faulty movement patterns that may be ingrained in our nervous system over time or as a response to an injury. These exercises allow you to teach your body the correct motion through positive, correct movement patterns. The technique is gentle and allows you to continue the journey at home. Tim is a fully qualified AIM instructor and can guide you through this unique way to have greater body awareness and posture.

Within the 60 min assessment and 1:1 class Tim promises you will:

  • Become aware of how you stand
  • Become aware of the normal posture you hold
  • Become aware of how you move around inside that posture
  • Become aware of the movements you can do and the movement you can't
  • Learn how you can re-educate your body through movement.

Training Packages

  • Warrior Gold Package - 3 x weekly 1:1 sessions with your trainer over 12 weeks to get fast, effective results. The package includes strength and conditioning/post-injury recovery plans, a weekly nutritional plan. Weight loss or toning incentives, postural retraining, improved balance and core stability and endurance workouts. It also includes weekly workouts to improve even at home. This plan is designed for someone who is post injury and not in acute pain and who wants to build the ultimate back
  • Bootcamp Silver Package - 2 x weekly over 12 weeks 1:1 sessions with your trainer. Less intense than the Warriors package but still aimed at getting fast and sustainable results. All workouts are customised to fit your fitness and health goals. This is an excellent programme for mothers post birth, someone recovering from a minor sports injury, someone wanting to do the best exercises for their bodies without wasting time and money doing the wrong sort of workouts.
  • Kickstart Bronze Package - 1-2 x weekly 1:1 sessions over 12 weeks with your trainer to achieve your personal health goals. This is the perfect programme for people who have to juggle busy work and home schedules but want to prioritise their health.

Semi-Private Group Training Sessions

Groups of up to 5 people can participate in our organised training sessions 1-2 x weekly. They are scheduled in 6 week blocks. Each person's individual health concerns and goals can be catered for. A form must be filled in prior to booking to identify the best plan for you before you begin.

Pay As You Go Training

Our Personal training is designed to suit and accommodate everyone's lifestyle. We are more than happy to offer pay-as-you-go training for people with hectic schedules or difficulty with childcare. You can pay for your class on the day.

Fees & Booking Information

  • Warrior - (3 weekly sessions for 12 weeks) £44 each - £1600
  • Bootcamp - (2 weekly sessions for 12 weeks) £45.83 each - £1100
  • Kickstart - (1-2 weekly sessions for 6 weeks)£47 each - £282 or £564
  • Pay As You Go - per session £55

Nutrition & Sports Nutrition Fees

  • 1x 60 min 1:1 Class - £50
  • 1 x 45 min group class - £45

Semi-Private Group Session(4:1) Fees

£35 per hour for personal training.

These sessions are usually block booked for 3 weeks minimum in order for each individual to achieve their initial results successfully.

Non Attendance

Please be aware that our clinic policy is that if someone cancels, or reschedule more than 48 hours in advance then we will honour the session on the next available date.

However people who do not attend or give less than 24 hours notice will be charged for the session in full. We have a long waiting list of people who want to train with our experts and we want to be fair to everyone.
